Ο Ράσμους Χόιλουντ δεν έχει κρύψει στο παρελθόν τον θαυμασμό του για τον Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο και οι πράξεις του στο παιχνίδι της Δανίας με την Πορτογαλία (2-4), στον απόηχο της αποχώρησης του CR7 από την εθνική ομάδα ίσως να έχουν… υπόβαθρο.
Ο φορ της Νάπολι ισοφαρίζοντας στο 53’ σε 2-2 πανηγύρισε με τον χαρακτηριστικό τρόπο του 41χρονου άσου, το περίφημο «Siuuu», ενώ στο τέλος του αγώνα και κατά την ανταλλαγή χειραψιών των δύο ομάδων, πλησίασε τον Ζόρζε Ζεσούς (που οδήγησε τον Ρονάλντο στην έξοδο) και φάνηκε να τον σπρώχνει στο στήθος.
Για τον πανηγυρισμό του ο ίδιος εξήγησε μετά το ματς: «Είναι απλώς ένας φόρος τιμής σε έναν άνθρωπο που ίσως έχει ολοκληρώσει την καριέρα του στην εθνική ομάδα – μετά από όσα συνέβησαν χθες (Τετάρτη, σ.σ.). Ναι, ήθελα απλώς να τον τιμήσω για άλλη μια φορά. Δεν έχει καμία σχέση με έλλειψη σεβασμού. Είναι το μεγάλο μου είδωλο», είπε.
You can just tell Rasmus Højlund has perfected the Siuuu. 😭 The way he throws those hands into the air before hitting it tells you this has been rehearsed. I’m convinced there are three Siuuus happening at home every single day. 😂 But beneath the celebration is something far more beautiful. This is the man Højlund grew up watching. The man millions watched grow from a boy into a phenomenon. The man whose celebration travelled from stadium to stadium, country to country, until a generation of footballers began carrying a piece of him into their own careers. And perhaps, ironically, the more Cristiano is questioned at home, the louder his love becomes everywhere else. Because this is Cristiano Ronaldo. You can challenge the man. You can question the player. But you cannot contain the influence. It crosses borders. It crosses generations. And somewhere, every day, another young footballer is learning the Siuuu, dreaming the dream, and discovering what Cristiano once made them believe was possible. Nothing tames this legacy.
